Many years ago,
in the hot and dusty border town of Brownsville, Texas, a friend of mine asked me to join him in the summer theater workshop at our local community theater. I was eleven years old. That summer, and the ones that followed, I fell in love with the process of creating theater. Every summer, I would spend my days at the theater, from morning to night. The spirit of camaraderie made me feel I was a part of something bigger than myself.
Now, I am a stage director based in New York City. My focus has largely been on directing new plays. Now, as then, my favorite part of my job is collaborating with great artists and good friends, and working together to tell a compelling story.
I am now also offering private monologue and audition coaching for actors. Past students have gone on to be accepted into top graduate acting programs and land roles with well-regarded off-Broadway companies. Contact me for info regarding scheduling and rates.
